Teaching English in Korea Where else can you start
with no experience and save US$1000 per month?
 Most "newbies" start
their TEFL career in Korea - I did, why not you?
My First TEFL experience
was in Korea in 1992 - and I ran into almost every problem people complain
about. But . . . at the same time - I found myself saving
US$12-15,000 a year! More than I had ever saved even with some
excellent administrative jobs back in America!
Korea has a mixed
reputation as a place to teach English - but most of the problems can be
solved with a little research. And many people are doing
extraordinarily well there.
We have started a Q & A page for
people interested in Korea - to get you fast answers to your important
questions. Two experienced Korea teachers will answer your
questions. We have nine years combined experience in Korea - all the way from
entry-level hogwan jobs to university jobs.
Before we proceed - it is
important to know that Korea requires a bachelor's degree for its EFL
teachers. The area you studied doesn't matter. If you have no
experience - no problem. But, a degree is a must. Generally speaking
these are the requirements:
Qualifications:
- English is your first language.
- You are a citizen of Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, or the USA - You must have a bachelor's degree
